PROPOSED SALE OF MUNICIPALLY OWNED PUBLIC POTABLE WATER & SANITARY SEWER SYSTEMS
NOTICE OF PROPOSED SALE
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that on July 28, 2010, 2:00 P.M., prevailing local time, at 125 South Route 73, Braddock, NJ 08037, the Township of Winslow, a Township in Camden County, State of New Jersey (the "Township"), intends to receive sealed bids for the sale of its public potable water & sanitary sewer systems comprising: collection mains, water distribution, water treatment plants, storage tanks, wells, pumping facilities, associated real and personal property, and other assets now used to collect and transport water and wastewater to and from the Township to the highest qualified bidder pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:62-3 et seq.
TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that the proposed sale has been duly authorized by Resolution R-2010-123 duly adopted by the Township Committee of the Township on March 9, 2010, a copy of which is on file at the Township Clerk’s offices at the address set forth above.
TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that the proposed sale is subject to all of the terms and conditions set forth in the Contract Documents which may be obtained from the Township Clerk’s offices at the address set forth above on business days from 8:30 A.M. to 4:30 P.M., prevailing local time.
TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that the Contract Documents include the following terms and conditions regarding the receipt of bids for the sale of the public potable water & sanitary sewer systems:
1. Each Bidder must complete the forms and other items required in the Contract Documents and submit bid security in the amount of Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000.00) with its Bid, which Bid shall be in writing in the form set forth in the Contract Documents.
2. The Township reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any immaterial defect or informality in any bid, if deemed in the best interest of the Township, and to exercise its other reserved rights as set forth in the Contract Documents.
TAKE FURTHER NOTICE THAT THE PUBLIC UTILITY SET FORTH HEREIN SHALL NOT BE SOLD UNTIL THE LEGAL VOTERS OF THE TOWNSHIP SHALL AUTHORIZE SAME AT THE NEXT GENERAL ELECTION TO BE HELD ON NOVEMBER 2, 2010.
