Frequently Asked Questions

Q.  Why is the water from my "HOT" spigot always discolored with a "Brown" tint?

A.  It is very likely that your hot water heater has not been flushed in a very long time.  When the hot water sits at the bottom of your hot water tank for long periods it will eventually pick up rust, minerals and sediment from the tank and should be flushed periodically according to your heaters instructions manual.

Do not attempt to flush your heater if you have not been instructed to do so properly. This could cause injury or harm to yourself or others.

Q.  What is that "Pink" stuff around my shower head and bowl?

A.  Pink residue is less likely a problem associated with water quality than with naturally occurring airborne bacteria and is also affected by the homeowners cleaning habits.

Q.  Why would my service be disconnected?

A.  Your service can be disconnected for a number of reasons; delinquency of your bill, when access is denied to your meter, uncontrollable leakage, meter or curb box valve tampering and also at the request of a homeowner.

Q.  How can my service be turned back on?

A.  If service was turned off due to delinquency the balance must be paid in full plus a $50 service fee will be assessed to the account the day it is scheduled for shut off.
