8/7/2020 - STORM DEBRIS PROCEDURES

In the aftermath of the August 4th storm our crews are working hard to reopen our roads, parks and storm water basins by clearing them of downed trees.

We would like to remind residents that most storm debris  if handled properly can be picked up on your regular trash day. We ask residents with downed limbs to cut them into four foot lengths and tie them with string into bundles weighing no more than approximately forty five pounds. These bundles will be picked up with your regular trash on your trash day. Small debris such as twigs and leaves can be placed in reusable cans or paper yard bags and put out with your regular trash as well. Larger diameter debris such as trunks that cannot be bundled can be cut into foot and a half to two foot lengths and piled neatly at the curb. Waste Management will not collect these however public works crews will collect them at a later date.

Also we will temporarily allow residents to bring debris uncut and unbundled to our maintenance yard located at 125 Rt 73 South Monday through Friday, 7 am to 3 pm. Kindly go into the Public Works trailer and see an attendant for assistance.
