5/19/2021 - UTILITY ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS AND INFORMATION

The State’s moratorium on utility shut-offs are due to expire on June 30, 2021. This informational outreach effort is aimed to inform residents of various utility assistance programs.  For residents who may need assistance paying bills, it is advised that they contact one of the programs before the moratorium ends. Utility Assistance Programs: 

·       Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP)

·      Universal Service Fund (USF)

·       Payment Assistance for Gas and Electric(PAGE)

·       Emergency Rental Assistance, which covers utilities included in rental costs

·       The Utility Customer’s Bill of Rights

      ·       2-1-1 as a 24/7 referral source for utility assistance as well as other helpful programs
