Please be advised that due public concerns from the recent hazardous chemical leak that occurred in East Greenwich Township the afternoon of August 10th that all affected communities in Gloucester County, as well as surrounding counties, we are providing the factual information regarding the chemical odor you may be smelling:

The chemical, Lubrizol-1389 (Zinc alkyldithiophosphate), expels a nuisance odor that may linger for some time; however, Haz-Mat Technicians have monitored & tested the air quality of the immediate incident scene and as well as all surrounding areas that have experienced the odor. The results of the testing have confirmed that there is no risk to the public.
Air monitoring will continue throughout the duration of the event. 

In addition, the Gloucester County Office of Emergency Management will be opening a call center for any questions or concerns that you may have, regarding this incident. The call center phone number is 856-384-6800 and will be open from 8:00am to 4:00pm.
