5/9/2014 - Ceremony at the Ptlm. Daniel J. Calabrese Jr. Memorial

June 12, 2014 marks the 20th anniversary in which Ptl. Daniel J. Calabrese Jr. badge #95 was shot and killed in the line of duty.

 

Tomorrow morning (5/9) beginning at 8:00 am there will be a brief ceremony at the Ptlm. Daniel J. Calabrese Jr. Memorial located in front of the doors to the Police Department.  All employees are invited to attend.

Chapter II Riders of the Unity Bike Tour, which consist of approximately 150 law enforcement officers from Southern New Jersey, 7 of which are police officers in Winslow Township, one being Ptl. Daniel J. Calabrese 3rd, badge #212, the son of Ptl. Daniel J. Calabrese Jr.

 

The Chapter II Riders will begin their ride at 0740hrs from Kurt Weiss greenhouses 350 South White Horse Pike Waterford Works, NJ 08004. They will travel a short distance across the White Horse Pike to the former location of the Fireside Inn restaurant, 323 White Horse Pike Waterford, NJ 08004, where they will place a carnation at the scene of Ptl. Daniel J. Calabrese's murder. They will then travel to the Winslow Township Police Department, 125 S. Rt. 73 Braddock, NJ 08037, for a memorial ceremony.
