NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

ORDINANCE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF WINSLOW, COUNTY OF

CAMDEN AND STATE OF NEW JERSEY AMENDING CHAPTER 221

OF THE CODE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF WINSLOW

CAPTIONED “SEWER”

 WHEREAS, the Township of Winslow has completed its Annual Review of its Sewer Connection Fee; and

WHEREAS, as a result of said Review it has been determined that said Connection Fee should be revised in accordance with the calculations prepared by the Township Chief Municipal Financial Officer reducing the connection fee to Three Thousand Nine Hundred and Ninety-Eight Dollars ($3,998.00); and

WHEREAS, Pursuant to NJSA 40:14A-8, a Public Hearing upon due notice will be held on revising the Sewer Connection Fee during the Township meeting of March 24, 2026; and

WHEREAS, testimony and documentation will be offered at said Public Hearing by the Municipal Clerk and Chief Municipal Financial Officer with opportunity for public comment; and

WHEREAS, based on the testimony and financial data provided, the Township  Governing Body has determined to revise the Sewer Connection Fee accordingly.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and Township Committee of the Township of Winslow, County of Camden, State of New Jersey 

 SECTION 1:        Chapter 221, Article 1, Section 221-5 “Schedule of Connection Charges” shall be amended to impose a sewer connection charge of Three Thousand Nine Hundred and Ninety-Eight Dollars ($3,998.00) per domestic consumer unit or equivalent domestic consumer unit.                              

SECTION 2:        All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances inconsistent with this Ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.

SECTION 3:        This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon final passage and publication in accordance with the law.

Notice is hereby given that the foregoing Ordinance was introduced and passed upon first reading at a regular meeting of the Mayor and Township Committee of the Township of Winslow on the   24th day of  February, 2026 , at 7:00 P.M., and the same was then ordered published according to law; and the same ordinance will be further considered for final passage during a meeting of the Mayor and  Township Committee of the Township of Winslow to be held in the Mayor Dominic Maiese Municipal Complex, 125 S. Route 73, Braddock, New Jersey on March 24, 2026, commencing at 7:00 P.M., prevailing time, or at any time and place to which such meeting from time to time may be adjourned. All persons interested will be given an opportunity during said time to be heard concerning such Ordinance by order of the Mayor and Township Committee.
