NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 284, SECTION 31 OF THE CODE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF WINSLOW REVISING VARIOUS WATER SERVICE CHARGE RATES

                    WHEREAS, the Township of Winslow as part of its annual budget process has completed a review of its water service charge rates; and

                    WHEREAS, as a result of said review, it is been recommended that the Township water service charge flat rate, as well as various other service charge rates be revised pursuant to the Schedule “A-Water” attached hereto and incorporated by reference herein; and 

                    WHEREAS, a public hearing has been held on March 24, 2026, to consider these proposed revisions to the water service charge flat rate, as well as various other service charge rates; and

                    WHEREAS, testimony was offered at said public hearing by the Municipal Clerk,  the Chief Municipal Financial Officer and Township Utilities Engineer with the opportunity for public comment; and

                    WHEREAS, based on the testimony offered together with any comments or testimony offered by the public at the Hearing, the Mayor and Township Committee have determined to revise the water service charge flat rate, as well as various other service charge rates as set forth on Schedule “A-Water” attached hereto. 

          NOW, THEREFORE, be it Ordained by the Mayor and Township Committee of the Township of Winslow, County of Camden, State of New Jersey, as follows:

Section 1.    Chapter 284, Section 31 is hereby amended to revise the water service charge flat rate, as well as various other service charge rates assessed by the Township of Winslow

pursuant to Schedule “A-Water” attached hereto and incorporated by reference herein, will take effect January 1, 2026.

          Section 2.    All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances inconsistent with this Ordinance are hereby repealed as to such inconsistency.  The Public Hearing has been recorded and a copy of the record will be made available to any member of the public upon payment of a fee to the Municipal Clerk.

          Section 3.    This Ordinance shall take effect April 1, 2026 upon adoption and publication as required by law.

Notice is hereby given that the foregoing Ordinance was introduced and passed upon first reading at a regular meeting of the Mayor and Township Committee of the Township of Winslow on the   24th day of  February, 2026 , at 7:00 P.M., and the same was then ordered published according to law; and the same ordinance will be further considered for final passage during a meeting of the Mayor and  Township Committee of the Township of Winslow to be held in the Mayor Dominic Maiese Municipal Complex, 125 S. Route 73, Braddock, New Jersey on March 24, 2026, commencing at 7:00 P.M., prevailing time, or at any time and place to which such meeting from time to time may be adjourned. All persons interested will be given an opportunity during said time to be heard concerning such Ordinance by order of the Mayor and Township Committee.
