WHEREAS, an application has been filed with the Township of Winslow Tax Assessor’s Office seeking tax abatement for AREC 35, LLC (aka U-Haul) located on Block 4004, Lot 12 (105 North Route 73) on the Tax Map of the Township of Winslow; and
WHEREAS, the Tax Assessor for the Township of Winslow has reviewed said application, and has determined that same is in proper form to be considered for a Tax Abatement Agreement with the Township; and
WHEREAS, the Governing Body for the Township of Winslow has reviewed the Tax Assessor’s determination and based on same hereby authorizes a Tax Abatement Agreement with AREC 35, LLC.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Mayor and Township Committee of the Township of Winslow, County of Camden, State of New Jersey, as follows:
Section 1. The Mayor and Township Clerk are hereby authorized to execute an Agreement for Tax Abatement with AREC 35, LLC located on Block 4004, Lot 12 on the official Tax Map of the Township of Winslow pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:21-1 et seq., and Township Ordinance No. O-17-97 and Amended Township Ordinance No. O-6-99; O-14-07; O-20-08; O-2009-016; and O-2011-032.
Section 2. The Tax Abatement Agreement shall cover the facility described in the application of AREC 35, LLC dated May 7, 2026.
Section 3. The Tax Abatement Agreement authorized and approved in this Ordinance shall provide for payments in lieu of full property taxes pursuant to the appropriate statute.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon final passage and publication as provided by law.
Notice is hereby given that the foregoing Ordinance was introduced and passed upon first reading at a regular meeting of the Mayor and Township Committee of the Township of Winslow on the 26th day of May 2026, at 7:00 P.M., and the same was then ordered published according to law; and the same ordinance will be further considered for final passage during a meeting of the Mayor and Township Committee of the Township of Winslow to be held in the Mayor Dominic Maiese Municipal Complex, 125 S. Route 73, Braddock, New Jersey on June 9, 2026, commencing at 7:00 P.M., prevailing time, or at any time and place to which such meeting from time to time may be adjourned. All persons interested will be given an opportunity during said time to be heard concerning such Ordinance by order of the Mayor and Township Committee.
